Homestyle cooking a great staff and a down home environment. I frequent this restaurant at least four times.. some of the best fried fish I've ever eaten. Certainly the best in LAPLACE.

The roast beef po-boy was amazing. The people are very friendly. The only thing i needed on my po-boy was a pinch of salt literally. Highly recommend you eat here. Yes its slightly expensive but it's worth it.

If you are a person who is huge on ambiance when dining then this place is probably not for you. However if you like a quality sammich then this is the spot! I've been here twice and both times that I have stopped in, I've been impressed. The 1st time I stopped in I got a Cuban sammich with onion rings. As I was waiting for my sandwich, I read a few articles on the wall about the history of the place. It turns out the owner is originally from Cuba so now I expect my sammich to be great. It did not disappoint. The Cuban had everything it is supposed to have; ham, pork, swiss, pickles and mustard pressed so that the sammich is hot and crisp. The only difference is this was on typical poboy style French bread. It was great! The second time I came in for a roast beef, ham and swiss poboy. The sammich was hot. cheese melted, the bread crisp and slightly chewy. It had just enough roast beef gravy to be flavorful without making the bread soggy. It was perfect! The place itself is nothing to look at. It's a hole in the wall if I'm being honest. The parking lot gets full at lunch time awfully quick and it can be hard to see when backing up onto Airline Hwy. Luckily there is a parking lot just east of the carwash next door that is much easier to get in and out of. If you are in Laplace and needing your Poboy fix, this is the place!
Muffuletta sandwich Seafood gumbo Loved the sandwich. We think it was their famous Cuban sandwich and they add olive tapenade . It was fabulous Seafood gumbo had great flavor. It only has some tiny shrimp with rice We enjoyed it The man working there was super nice. We got a delicious cheesecake slice to go We flew in from San Francisco and drove right here. It's about 30 minutes from the airport
